Common Tern

A year ago I opened my blog here. To celebrate I wanted to publish my favorite photos of  the begin of that year once again and so I looked into my photo folders. The oldest pictures made me not happy. Have I ever liked those pictures? Critically I reviewed them with the knowledge I had gained in the past year and disapproved one photo after another. Overexposed, poorly framed, wrong aperture ......... Finally there were only a few pictures left. Am I more and more demanding? Or have I just photographically grown? One thing is clear to me: we are never finished learning in photography. But maybe that's also the charm of this hobby.

Finally I decided to take new pictures. I was so happy to see this young Common Tern (Sterna hirundo) begging and screaming for food. Although it was getting colder and the clouds were more grey by the minute this young one posed for me. Therefore I give him a prominent place in my aniversary blog.

The photos are enlarged even more beautiful. Click on the first picture.

Thanks to all my friends abroad for their spontaneous, nice comments and praising words on my last blog.
I hope we keep in touch. Of course I will visit you on your own blog, although it may take sometimes a little longer.

Greetings, Joke

Sorry about my last 2 posts, they were programmed - or so I thought - for tomorrow and the day after... So I removed them. I must be tired! :(
